Tropical Fruits Tour & Tasting

A tasty trip to the Island´s most important tropical plantations and related traditional products, focusing on Sugar Cane, Banana, Papayas and other tropical fruits. Includes 3 course lunch and drinks, tastings and entrance fees.

Highlights:

• Tastings of local tropical fruits, also products such as Sugar Cane juice (near the harvesting season), Rum, traditional Madeira Molasses Cake (Bolo de Mel), cookies and traditional lunch
• Visit to the “Engenhos da Calheta” including the Museum dedicated to a Poet and Fado singer Edmundo Bettencourt.
• A banana walk plantation.

Reminder:

Due to changeable weather and altitude variations we recommend polar fleece and windbreaker jackets, hat, outdoor shoes or boots. Sunglasses, sunscreen and water are also advised for all tours.
